You should plan to arrive in Florence on first day of the semester. Firenze Arti Visive staff will be at the airport to greet you with your orientation materials. From the airport you will take a taxi to your apartment, remember to have some euros to pay the driver.

Please remember that if you arrive in Florence before the first day of the term you will not be able to move into Firenze Arti Visive housing. Make sure that you reserve hotel or hostel reservations well in advance prior to arriving in Florence. Come by the school the first day of the semester to pick up your orientation materials and keys for the apartment.

Travel Check List
1. You have your signed passport and visa with you.
2. Leave photocopies of your passport and visa with family.
3. Family members have copies of your itinerary if you will be traveling during the course of the semester.
4. Pack light, your suitcase should be about half full. Save room for the all the clothes that you are going to buy here in Italy.
5. Carry on. Valuables such as laptop, camera, medicine.
6. At the airport never leave your luggage unattended and do not accept packages from strangers.
7. Do not bring expensive watches and jewelry.
8. ATM card with pin number. Check with your bank on how you can make overseas withdrawals.
