PNTG 440 Painting Studio III
3 credits
.
The focus of this class is to clarify the advanced students experience in
making paintings and offers the opportunity to work with a singular focus in
a particular area of studio practice. This will be accomplished with a great
deal of faculty involvement and support. Group and individual critiques will
continue as an integral part of the course.
All classes visit contemporary exhibits in Florence, which help clarify the
juxtaposition between past and present. The school has arrangements with
several museums for students to use, libraries, archives, art journals, and
access to contemporary catalogs of museum exhibitions.
